Post Traumatic Stress every year in May

Ok that didn't go to well. I got all stressed out with a work project then immediately fell into bad habits of staying up late, and then being too tired during the day, so resorted to getting my energy from magic food like fries.

ok. They are not magic. But tell that to my denial.

As for post traumatic stress, i always hate May becuase when i was in university I had 5 exams and 5 tests worth 70% of my mark each all in May. it was awful. And though i am not in school, i think my body goes into some weird memory and i feel horrible. Like really horrible. much more horrible than the actual events call for. I feel as horrible panicked as i did in university, and that in itself was too stressful for words. I think it's some kind of memory.

All in all, very disconcerting as stress has negative effects on Health. And i just read a book called the Type C Connection -Gabor Mate, where people who are under constant anxiety get more cancer than others. Not fair.

The deal is all this stress can wreak havoc on our bodies and negatively impact our health. This is because the body releases cortisol when you are afraid. Too much cortisol is hard on the body. When the peaceful times get shorter and shorter - the cortisol times get longer. Hence - adverse health effects.

Stress accounts for up to 80 percent of all illnesses; elevated blood pressure, higher likelihood of stroke. And as mentioned above, the cortisol interfere with the body's immune system, making individuals more prone to catching illnesses, autoimmune, cardiovascular diseases, allergic reactions, and -the dreaded C word.

they say over 19 million people suffer from anxiety in US. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness and according to the National Institute of Mental Health, they are
the number one mental health problem among American women while for men anxiety comes second after alcohol and drug abuse. For adults over 65, the most common mental health issue they face is anxiety.

Ok. So now that I am stressed, i will go for my fave de-stressor - food. Yummy comforting food. And becuase i need to work, i won't go outside, but will stay inside and sit and eat. And just get fatter and unhealthier.

I an so mean to myself when i am stressed. I should go and work out - exercise is magic. But no. I won't do that. I am to stressed!!!!!!

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an extreme stress response to a traumatic event that threatens your safety or makes you feel helpless. If you have PTSD, you may believe that you’ll never get over what happened or feel normal again. But with treatment and the support of your loved ones, you can overcome your symptoms, reduce the painful memories, and move on with your life. http://www.xanax-effects.com/
